The Five Hearts

Explore

Overview, examples, tutorials, and reference. It never edits campaign truth.

GM

Creates campaigns, prepares material, runs sessions, and decides when hidden information is revealed.

Player

Joins campaigns, submits campaign copies of characters, reacts, writes, and sees approved knowledge.

Creative

Drafts worlds, characters, lore, maps, and experiments before choosing whether anything moves elsewhere.

Solo

Supports private personal play with its own characters, sessions, notes, and continuity.

Campaign context keeps stories separate

Every campaign-owned quest, lore entry, NPC, note, map, session, and knowledge record carries explicit campaign context. Queries and writes use that context rather than trusting whichever Heart happens to be visible.

Original characters and campaign copies

A player submits a character to a campaign by creating a campaign-bound copy for review. The player’s original remains untouched. Campaign advancement and table-specific adjustments belong to the copy.

Ownership, authority, and visibility are separate

A record can be shared without surrendering ownership. A GM reveal creates player-safe knowledge rather than exposing the GM’s source record. Private notes, fictional writing, party knowledge, and individually passed notes remain distinct.

Connected continuity

Mystic links what happened to what changed: sessions to recaps, lore to discoveries, characters to campaign states, maps to encounters, and quests to the people and places involved.

Explore offers context, not requirements. Return whenever a concept needs refreshing.
